It's cold and miserable and no one in their right mind is planning a trip here, and all the Canadians are looking to go where it is warm.

But in another couple of weeks, when we start thinking of beautiful blankets of snow, when it's time to start Christmas shopping...

And, as a friend who just called says, "Toronto's a happening town." She got annoyed today, trapped in traffic inspired by the Santa Claus PArade, and called to tell me, just in case I was sitting in a Starbucks nearby, that Sting was performing up the street and I could go look through the window of the TV station and see the show.

Edmonton won, and it was a great game.

Those beautiful blankets of snow are now turning into messy puddles of slush here in Calgary. Hmm.. does any other province have snow on the ground now????

Yay!! Edmonton won today aaaand the Oilers beat Flames last night. What a weekend!

You should visit Edmonton to get away from that damp cold of Toronto !!!

Not only did "we" win the Grey Cup, but the weather was downright pleasant for the middle of November, sunny and +4C !!!

But - we ARE planning a trip - to Jasper and the gorgeous Rockies (next week). Should be fun as long as the highway is in good shape.

Didn't know/care about the game.

Howling, blasting winds are blowing in Victoria at the moment.
