Is Casa Loma worth the drive????

Does anyone know how the drive is to Casa Loma from Niagara Falls??? Is it all on expressways or do we have to go through the city of Toronto?? What time would be a good time to leave from NF to avoid traffic?? We are staying in Niagara Falls and have a half day so I thought of Casa Loma.
Thank for any and all help.

Casa Loma is pretty much in the centre of Toronto. There's no way to get there without navigating city streets, and it may even be a little difficult to find without a map, although if you go straight up Spadina Avenue you'll find it eventually. You can exit on to Spadina from the Gardiner Expressway, but there's quite a bit of traffic on the way up to where Casa Loma is. I would definitely try to avoid the morning and evening rush hours, but Spadina has a lot of traffic on it most of the time.

Casa Loma is terrific, but I sure wouldn't drive there from NF. There is so much to do in the NF area, I doubt that you will want to make the long drive. Save Casa Loma for a trip to Toronto. Then...don't miss it!

Two hours, door to door, each way, assuming reasonable traffic.

That is, I suggest, a lot of driving for a half day, total, sidetrip.

During the week, you need to leave Casa Loma by 4 p.m. in order to avoid awful traffic getting back to NF, or you need to wailt until about 7 p.m., when the drive back should be pretty easy.

If you leave NF after 8 a.m., you get into Toronto after the rush hour dies down.

But it's a long way for only one attraction to visit.

BAK
