The Lake Louise Alpine Centre Hostel, owned jointly by Hostel International and the Canadian Alpine Club, has both shared and private rooms. Private rooms are around $90 CDN in the summer; shared quad rooms are priced per bed (around $30 CDN). Rates are less for members of either organization.
The in-house restaurant is very popular, but there are also well-equipped cooking facilities.

Not sure what you consider reasonably priced, but in August we stayed at Becker's in Jasper and The Juniper in Banff. We also stayed at the Bear and Bison in Canmore (might be pricier than you want). I would recommend all three of these places. I also recommend reading reviews on tripadvisor.com. Have a great trip!! The rockies are AMAZING!!

Lake Louise Inn: nothing fancy, modest accomodations, but clean and nice.
Whisters Inn, Jasper: Once again, it is no Fairmont but it was clean, modest, and located within walking distance to all of the restaurants downtown.
Brewsters Mountain Lodge, Banff: Nice place, within walking distance to everything in-town in Banff.
