Getting cash

This may be a silly question, but can I get cash from an ATM in Vancouver with a Wells Fargo Debit Card? I am aware there would be charges. Thanks.

Yes - look for an ATM with the Plus logo (see back of your card). I've never had an issue with using an ATM at a bank there; the smaller standalone machines that you may find in some stores may or may not work.

Another thing that will likely work for you is to make a small purchase at a WalMart and use your debit card. It should ask if you want cashback. You should get cashback in Canadian funds. You probably will not have a fee for using the debit at Walmart rather than an an ATM fee.

Greenway - also, does your Wells Fargo debit card have a Visa logo? (mine does) If so, then you should be good just about anywhere.

and all with the added bonus ( if as i assume you are a US wells fargo customer) a currency advantage the gives you C$1.34 for each US$1.00!
