Fun way Vancouver to Comax Vancouver Island

I fly in from Calgary 10am Monday morning 1st August. Need to get to Comox where I will be staying for a week. Any suggestions for the way to get there. I will be leaving by air to fly onto San Fran via Vancouver.
Do insland ferries cruise up this way, is it rough. Would a helicopter or seaplane give me a great view if it is seasick time.
Thanks for input

There is no direct ferry from Vancouver towards Comox.

You can take the ferries vom Vancouver towards Nanaimo or you travel along the sunshine cost towards Comox with three ferries inbetween (Vancouver/suneshine cost, inlet crossing, Powell River/Comox). The route via suneshine cost is very scenic, but I would do this only with a rental car and if you have enough time, because of time consuming ferry trips.

I never has rough weather during diverse ferry cruises towards Vancouver Island.

I would check out the bus schedules from the airport, you might be able to get one that goes across from Horseshoe Bay (Vancouver) to Nanaimo, then find another bus to get to Comox once you are on the Island.

It might be fun to take a bus to Victoria for the return trip to Vancouver, which will take you to Tsawassen. Not sure if the bus goes to the airport but you could travel easy from there by taxi if you had to. Or if you have the time, take the bus to downtown Vancouver and tour around, then catch an Airporter bus from there to the airport.

Sorry, I forgot you said "fun" way! You can take a seaplane from downtown Vancouver directly to the Island. Not sure where the destinations are but you could try doing a search on seaplanes to Vancouver Island.

It would probably be easiest to take a regular flight over. I think Central Mountain Air flies there.
