Family resort in Quebec

We're looking for a family resort in Quebec that's casual and comfortable with plenty of activities for children (10 and 12), me and my husband, and my (active) parents. We like boating (preferably no power boats but sailing, canoeing, kajaking, rowing), tennis, some fishing, hiking, as well as some sightseeing.

My family and I went to Tremblant last winter and were VERY impressed. They have spent over $1 billion in the last 10 years updating the resort into a 4-season paradise. VERY nice.

We were considering Mt. Tremblant. Do you have any suggestions as where to stay? We might rent a cottage or condo.

A good website to check out is magma.ca/~culverd. You can save a lot of money renting privately instead of through the Tremblant resort. There is lots to do in the area - mountain biking, tennis courts, miles of hiking and biking trails. Tremblant provincial park is a beautiful place where you can rent canoes and kayaks. We've been in winter and summer with three teenage boys and everyone's had a great time.

When we went it was August, I took bug spray but never had to use it. I don't know if that's the case earlier in the season though, all my trips to Quebec have been in August or winter.

JUNE is black fly season and those little buggers can make you turn around and go home. Regular mosquitoes in July and August, after sundown, really no problems.
A.M.

Oh yeah, there are shad flies but they don't bite. Ah, now I'm nostalgic for home.
A.M.
