Photos are finally up - hope they display OK on your monitors as I found them to look different on the four monitors on which I checked.

The Favorites album has a sample of photos from the entire trip; for a pictorial journal, you'll want to browse the daily albums.
Enjoy!

Truly stunning eenusa, especially your composition. I appreciated your efforts to so accurately name all the flora and fauna; next time I head out to the mountains I can say, "oh, there's a __________" instead of "what a lovely flower/butterfly."

Wow,great pictures! You really capture the mood of the Rockies. I love the bright sunny days when the lakes reflect the blue sky above. And yet, I love when the jagged, majestic peaks are shrouded by clouds.
Thanks for sharing

Your photo's are really gorgoeus, what a stunning country Canada is.
We are planning our trip for Summer of 2008, we hope to fly to Vancouver, then Victoria ,Jasper,Banff, and Calgary. At the moment we are debating whether to start in Calgary and finish up in Vancouver or the other way around, as my husband would like to spend more time in Vancouver at the end of the holiday.
I'm really looking forward to seeing Canada

Glad you enjoyed the photos. If I were planning a trip with your itinerary, I'd probably start in Calgary and finish up in Vancouver so that we could relax in Vancouver and Victoria after hiking in the Rockies. But that's just me.
Whatever you decide; have a terrific time.

Hi Eenusa
We'll be flying from Ireland, so, i'm not looking forward to the long flight, i get so bored sitting for more than 3 or 4 hours, I think we will probably fly to Calgary, and finish in Vancouver and relax there for a bit longer.
I showed my family your gorgeous photo's last night, and there were gasps, I have 2 teenage kids, and they wanted to holiday in USA, but my hubby and I wanted Canada, now kids are convinced that Canada is the place to go, this will be a very big deal for us, as we havent been to USA or Canada, lots of saving!!

Sounds like you've made the right decision - especially considering the flight over the pond to get here.
I'm glad the photos helped convince the kids. Have fun planning the trip; there are many experts on the board who'll be happy to chime in with their thoughts once you're ready to share your preliminary plans.
