A really special Halifax restaurant !!

I am going to be spending a few days in Nova Scotia visiting very special friends, and would like to take them out for a great dinner. Could you please recommend one or two restaurants for me, as I am not familiar with the city. Cost is not important, just want an outstanding dinner with good variety on the menu. Thanks.

We just returned from a week in Halifax and found a new resturant that I think you would love. BISH It is located on the far end of the harbor boardwalk about 2-3 blocks before you get to the Westin Hotel. Since it is right on the water, if the weather is cooperative, you can eat outside. It is a first class restaurant. I had the stir fried lobster with a crispy spinich that was divine

Hi, I've been to Halifax several times, I would recommend: The Press Gang-excellent gourment cuisine and interesting atmosphere, Five Fisherman- wonderful seafood/lobster and Sweet Basil bistro-Excellent entrees, Salty's on the harbour for awesome views.

Hello from Halifax, Nova Scotia. Try du Marizios in the Brewery Market. Wonderful Italian food. Great food and atmosphere at Opa's (Greek). You'll feel as if you are in a real greek taverna. I am not sure if they still have it, but the Westin had a seafood buffet on Saturday evenings - lots to eat and good food. There is a new turkish restaurant off Spring Garden Road that I have heard great reviews. Ryan Duffy's for steak. ALl of these restuarants are in downtown Halifax. In Dartmouth La Perla is a great Italian restaurant! McElvies in the Ferry Terminal building has great views and good food.

Hope this helps!

Hi:

Either da Maurizo's (Italian) or Salty's on the Waterfront (Seafood) are surefire winners. Both are outstanding restaurants.
