White Water Rafting

When & where would you recommend white water rafting in Australia? A couple of active, adventuresome, almost 50-year-olds, who have the energy of 30-year-olds, would like to incorporate an "adrenaline rush" into our 2-3 week trip. Have only rafted once, but just loved it and can't stop thinking about how much fun it was! Thought it would be great to include this in a trip to Australia!

Tully in far North Queensland is probably the most well known. Google as there seem to be a number of sites.

Also in outer Sydney they have a man made white water rafting complex built for the Olympic games.

Tully's about the wettest town in Australia which makes for great white water rafting on Tully River. Raging Thunder or R&R Whitewater Rafting go every day out of Cairns. Good at any time of year but particularly awesome after or during wet season which can be between December-April.

There is also a good white water rafting experience to be had just west of Coffs Harbour, NSW, near Dorrigo.

Or you could have a lot of fun at the venue for the 2000 Olympic Games whitewater events. http://www.penrithwhitewater.com.au/...abou_index.htm
