Visa to USA

I'm a woman who hasn't done any international travelling, so be patient. I am planning a holiday in the USA and am wondering if I need a US visa?

I would check with the American Consulate or Embassy in Sydney. Your travel agent should know. You could do a web search and get the answer - it is there if you take the time and trouble to look, instead of depending on others.

Hi,

I am American (USA) and I needed a visa to visit OZ. Visa requirements are usually reciprocal between countries. So, I expect you will need one. Check with the US Consulate.

Citizens of Australia do not need visas to enter the US as tourists (max 90 days)- they are part of the visa waiver program. details at http://travel.state.gov/vwp.html

Mary,
Australian passport holders no longer need a visa to visit the USA. Make sure your passport has at least 6 months life in it, and that you have a return airticket and enough funds for your trip. US Immigration usually check things like that as they are worried about people working illegally once they arrive.
Kay
