Trip from SYD to Uluru?

Hi,

Is it possible to book a trip from Sydney to Uluru that includes flights and hotels and lasts say only 2 nights? If so, could you point me in the direction of a website and give an idea of costs (I would be travelling in Jan)?

Thanks,

David.

Hi, David. I am departing for Oz next week and will travel from Melbourne to Uluru, staying there two nights before moving on to Cairns/Palm Cove. I booked through Swain (swaintours.com) and am very pleased with the tours, service and accommodations, keeping in mind I have not seen them yet! I cannot help you with $$ because I booked this as part of a two-week trip, but I can tell you Uluru has several levels of hotels and it looks like things can be tailored to most budgets. Hope this helps!

Hi David,

I'm actually doing the same trip but from Sydney to Alice Springs instead in early Sept. I'll be doing trips out from Alice Springs into Uluru. I found it cheaper that way. One very good agent I dealt with was Outback Travel Shop Online (www.outbacktravelshop.com.au) which gave me some pretty competitive rates. Try mailing them and mention I sent you there! Good luck!

Thanks for the tips. Hsu, did you book your flight to Alice separately?

Hi David,

Yes I booked my flight separately. However most travel agents, including Outback can do the booking for you. I compared Virgin Blue and Qantas and found a cost saving of almost AUD60 on the Virgin Blue flights.
