Letchimi,
You could visit the NSW snow fields but it may be a little early for snow, it depends on the weather from year to year. Try a search for Perisher, Thredbo or Jindabyne. If you are ever here in Autumn, Bright in northern Victoria has spectacular autumn foliage on the trees, well worth a trip. Your Mum may enjoy Tasmania, it's quite popular with older people especially, very green and with a feel of 'old England' in parts. June/July will be quite cold there.
Kay

I'm considering NZ South Island in late July. My only concern is rain and clouds - I know it will be cold but I would like sunshine and clear skies. Any suggestions - I think Christchurch and Queenstown are OK but what about other cities - Nelson and Dundein
