Tilt Train Brisbane-to-Cairns
Has anyone taken the new tilt train up or down the Queensland Coast?
What is the primary differences between the Tilt train and the Sunlander? Speed? Price? Quality of Service? Number of Trains per Week? Number of Stops? Route?
With the introduction of the tilt train, it seems that they've removed the Queenslander train from service and added a "Queenslander" premier class on the Sunlander, correct?
Any experience, comments or suggestions would be much appreciated ...

well scurry here is my two bobs worth on australian train travel.
Intra urban services in sydney, melbourne, adelaide and brissy are good and a conveninet and cost effective way of getting around.
There are a couple of inter urban routes ie tilt, blue mountains, which are conveninet and cost effective.
There are several tourist trains eg kuranda, abt etc which are fun.
The long haul, epic, theroux type runs are for those attracted to trains.Typically you can fly cheaper on discount internet fares.
So the sunlander, indian pacific, ghan are for those who want to travel on rains.Interestingly the ghan will run early next year all the way from adelaide to darwin since the completion of the track from alice to darwin.
