Dear Tom,
If you are travelling to the Tanah Mera just 28km from Brisbane, I will provide these few bits of information. Hire cars are from aboutA$29-00 per day upwards, there are no B&bs that I know of in this area but there is a good Motel, Logan City a Flag Motel with a very nice restaurant. Also very close to McDonalds family restaurant and walking distance to the Hyperdome shopping centre, buses and Tanah Mera.
If you are flying in to Brisbane, I suggest an airport bus to the city this will drop you off at the transit centre, from there you can ask directions for a local bus, Clarks bus to the Hyperdome. Many other bus companies leave the bus station going to the Gold Coast, check on the latest with the companies to see if any will drop you off at the Hyperdome in Loganholme.
