Sydney Wedding

I am considering getting married in Sydney and would like the ceremony in the Botanical Gardens. I know this is probably a stange question for a travel forum but would anyone have any idea of how I would go about arranging it. I live in Ireland. I know the legal requirements, it's more how I can book the gardens and arrange a celebrant that I would be looking for.

Thanks,

Maira

Try the Botanical Gardens website at www.rbgsyd.gov.au/
The "Discover the Gardens" link has details for venues and functions and contact details.
As for the celebrant, you could try a search at www.yellowpages.com.au

Maira,
Matt's right - try their website. An alternative (that also includes the Botanical Gardens) is www.suva.com.au (SUVA - Sydney's Unique Venues Association). In case you change your mind about the venue, they have loads of others that are, as the name suggests, unique. They could also help you out with contact details of celebrants I'd say. They're very good.

Such a strange question that I asked an almost identical one on the forum a few days ago!
I searched on webwombat for a Celebrant in Sydney and came up with about 4 (but only 1 able to do it when I want - New Year's Eve).
They will do the paperwork and book venue, etc. I think, if you are a very small party, you don't need to book anything.
The Notice of Intent needs to be logged a month beforehand.
I'm in the UK; if you would like to share info/experiences you are welcome to email me.
Good Luck!
Bev
