Where do I get one of these? Does it cover the Bondi explorer bus too? You guys have been so helpful in helping me plan my trip.

I am sure that there are many places you can get these tickets but the two that come to mind are : down at Circular Quay at the bus information centre and at another bus information centre across the road from the Menzies Hotel in Carrington Street at the Wynyard station entry. Presumably there are other bus information centres where you will be able to get the passes. I don't know if it covers the Bondi explorer tho'. Don't forget people, if you are a senior or a pensioner you can get a travel pass for the day for $1

We were in Sydney in August and bought the Sydney Pass at the airport. I dug out my brochures and it says you can buy them at Transport InfoKiosks at Alfred Street, Circular Quay, Wynyard Park and Manly Wharf, any place were a "SydneyPass sold here" sign is and at the airport. The full pass included the Sydney Explorer, the Bondi Explorer, the Airport Express (to and from the airport), all public transit and the Harbour cruises. You can buy each one of these individually. I think we paid $225.00AU for a four day family pass. We went on a day and an evening cruise of the harbour, used both the Sydney and Bondi explorers and the Airport express and it paid for itself. I was impressed with the efficiency and cleanliness of the transit system. Have fun - Aussie land is the best!!!!!!!!

We are 3 adults. My husband, myself and son. Would we qualify for a family pass? My son is 23 years old. I don't know whether we should purchase a pass in Canada before leaving for Sydney. It would cost us $90.00 each whereas the family pass cost AUD $225.00. Please advise

I just got back from Australia in mid-September. I've done some posts here on my trip and would definitely recommend the pass. We paid $49 US for the passes before we left (bought them thru our airline). There is a ticket booth at the airport where you catch the bus. It seems to be the pass was $90 AU . I can't find the brochure that covers it all, but I have the individual ones. A family is defined as "2 adults and any number of children from 4 to under 16 years of age from the same immediate family."
Just to give you an idea of the prices if you decide to buy individual tickets:
The one day explorer bus and bondi bus are each $30 AUS or you can get a 2 day ticket for both at $55 AU.
The harbor cruises covered by the pass are:
Morning 1 hour cruise: $15 Au
Afternoon 2 1/2 hour cruise: $22 Au
Evening Harbor Lights: $19 Au
The pass also gives you discounts at some Sydney attractions. We used it at the Aquarium.
I like the convenience of the pass - you could just get on any local ferry - and you don't have to go to the ticket counters (although I never noticed any lines at the counters). Depending on here you're gonig you can even use the bus instead of a taxi.
The web sites on the brochures are:
www.131500.com.au
www.sta.nsw.gov.com.au
www.sydneyferries.com.au

Thank you folks. Your advice has been a tremendous help. I will get the information from the web sites and will take your tip not to purchase a Sydney Pass before we leave.
