Reef Magic or other boats from Cairns

Has anyone been on the Reef Magic to the GBR out of Cairns and give a recommendation?

We are only snorkelling not SCUBA diving - don't want to be treated like 2nd rate citizens!

Says it takes 100 people - is this too many?

Any recommendations for a smaller operator?

Thanks for any help.

Rel:
We took Ocean Spirit cruise company out of Cairns in November. A beautiful catamaran with capacity of about 30 passengers. Those that wanted to snorkel, snorkeled. Those that wanted to SCUBA, SCUBA'd. We preferred the glass bottom boat that they kept anchored at the reef.
Great crew, great service.

Check out the Coral Princess which runs between Townsville and Cains. We enjoyed it. There were mostly snorkelers and a glass bottom boat.

Hi there, I live in Port Douglas and I used to work on a tour desk at the Radisson.
Ocean spirit is a nice boat but it has a maximum capacity of 156 people.
If you want the best snorkelling, then go with Wavelength. They are the only boat which specialises in outer reef snorkelling. They can arrange transfers from Cairns. They take a maximum of 30 people. And their website is
www.wavelength-reef.com.au
good luck
email me if u need more help
Caro

John

I would be interested to know if you have a commercial interest in your suggestions in the post above or are they totally unbiased and personal?
