Photos from Lisa & Mark's Australia trip, August 2007

A belated thanks to all the Fodorites who helped with advice for our trip. We had a fantastic time and have finally managed to put up a few of our photos here.

Great photos Lisa - loved the artsy stuff (I try to be artsy too, but seldom succeed). Thanks for posting.

Me: Canon 30D with a 75-300 IS lens. Mark gave it to me last Christmas & I'm still learning...

Mark has a Canon 5D w/ 100-400 IS but he hasn't put his pics up yet.

Thanks for the encouraging comments!

Great shots, Lisa, thanks.

Certainly shows our "winter" weather conditions in Queensland, both around Whitsundays and FNQ, doesn't look too bad in Sydney, either.

Yes, I would trade our Washington DC winters for Sydney's any day! It was absolutely gorgeous the entire time.

If anyone is looking for a wonderful place to stay in the Daintree-Cape Tribulation area (a question that comes up often on this board), I highly recommend Cockatoo Hill. It was absolutely lovely.
