NZ trip

I am going to new Zealand in October and staying with friends in Auckland for most of the time but I have a penfriend in Invercargill whom I would like to visit. I had thought of flying from Auckland to Christchurch and then doing a tour down to Invercargill to see at least some of the country. Is there such a thing and where would I find out about it from the UK?

Try GINZ.com - (Guest In New Zealand), they helped me from California with alot of my arrangements. They don't charge for advice or bookings and were perfect in everyway. Good luck.

Tonie:
You might consider flying from Auckland to Queenstown rather than to Christchurch. Once in Queenstown you can rent a car for about NZ$50/day and drive to Invercargill in about 3 hours. A lovely drive.
John

Thanks for your suggestion. Driving makes sense and I believe a UK licence is Ok in NZ. This is a trip of a life time andI am going by myself as My husband does not like flying. Tonie

Have a look at www.purenz.com

It is the NZ Tourism Board web site. Take the time to explore the South Island.
