need travel agent recommendations

You guys are all great. Thought you could help me again. WE are travelling to Tasmania for about 7 days and i thought it would be easier to use a travel agent to book our accomodations, rather than do it all myself. It is the busiest time and I know I can spend hours just trying to find a place. any suggestions on good agents? I imagine there are no deals right now so just someone that will be helpful. Thanks, Sandy

I wouldn't get a travel agent. There will be plenty of accommodation available when you get there or try the web.
There is a new apartment block at Salamanca in Hobart which is offering specials and that would be a terrific place to stay especially if you were there for the Saturday markets.

Sandy:
We used Tasmanian Travel Agency to book our stay in Hobart. The travel agent we dealt with was a gentleman named Dean Smith. Their office is in the heart of Salamanca Market. We had the pleasure of meeting him there.
Dean was most helpful in arranging our itinerary.
I recommend them most heartily. His email is [email protected].
John

That's a good idea to get a travel agent IN Tassie - so much local knowledge. I was thinking of you wanting one from where you are living. The one suggested would know the new apartments at Salamanca which should be terrific for accommodation too.
Have a great time, Tassie is a lovely place.

Sandy good idea to use an agent there. It will be the end of the Sydney -Hobart yacht race and accomodatiion could be at a premium.
