Hi Melanie,
I think your final plans are perfect. Pemberton is one of my favourite places in that bottom corner - we had a lovely time there. Don't forget at Esperance you have Cape Le Grand National Park.
Wave Rock is very interesting to see but if my memory serves me correctly there is absolutely nothing else there. I did enjoy our time at Kalgoorlie though and also Coolgardie nearby.
Looks like these last destinations are to be another trip perhaps just devoted to the inland side of things.

We really like Pemberton too...we'd have preferred to spend three nights there, but alas, we were short a day and had to cut back somewhere.
I'm rather looking forward to Cape Le Grand Nat'l Park - can't wait to see those 'roos lounging on the beach!
