Hi, Pat,
Was not going to post a further reply, but when I read your response to my message I felt dutybound to reveal that there are many in NZ who respond in exactly the same way - "North versus South Island" and "Auckland versus the rest of the country". We also discovered the same feelings between Uruguay and Argentina when visiting our Uruguayan boy in 1997! So I guess it happens all round the world but.......
We are looking forward to our visit to Queensland starting next Saturday; can't wait for the warmth to ooze back into our bodies and bones! Oh, and of course exploring new places plus revisiting favourites. Just got to get through the last week of school and excited children who are also looking forward to their holidays!

I been reading these forums for the last 4 hrs since I came to work and have been learning soooo much about Aussie, as you would call OZ. I really appreciate this forum.
What really makes this enjoyable is the drama that transpires between you people who are on here (im guessing) every day. I soon to be in that crowd as well, although I am from Seattle. I love hearing you guys argue. Im really catching on to your culture and look forward to meetin it face to face this DEC.
