Is a mobile a cell phone?
I finally bought an international calling plan so that I can phone Australia for a reasonable fee. Every one lists a "mobile" and a phone number. Is a mobile just a cell phone? Does it matter which number I call? Thanks!

Yes. Here in Australia we use the term "mobile" or "mobile phone" and the term "cell phone" is never used (apart from on programmes from the U.S.) The cost of calling a landline or mobile number may vary - you may need to research this, or someone else may know?

"Cell phone" is strictly U.S. nomenclature. "Mobile" is more generic.

We call them handphones here in Indonesia - no idea why.

Cell=mobile=handphone

I just found out there are different rates for mobile vs home phones with the international calling plan. In addition to $5.00/month, it's 10cents/min for home and 31cents/min for mobile.
