How do we tell where a poster is posting from...?
We get many topics/questions here from potential (or imminent/impending) visitors, asking for information on the cost of this, and/or that, which side of the road etc. in relation to their expectations, but...
...how do we tell where the posters are from...?
How do we identify the country of origin of our fellow Fodorians here, so that we can address any geographically pertinent responses..? (other than asking them, well..basically.."Where are you from..?"..
This approach can appear a tad abrupt/rude at times.
Just a thought,
Rick

Some posters provide this info on their profile page, just click on their screen name and you'll be taken to it. Unfortunately, most folks leave that info blank, so it's impossible to tell where they're from unless they provide the info in their post.

eeeek...You're right Melnq8...I hadn't updated my profile. Sorted now.
I must admit that when I am posting/responding, I usually include my location at the foot of my text here, so I figured that would cover it....but the profile thing allows for much more of an insight. (which may, or may not, be a good thing)
Cheers mate, and thanks.
