Hotels in Queenstown

I plan to stay in Queenstown for three or four nights in early February. Fodors strongly recommends Blanket Bay, Hermitage Queenstown, Millbrook Resort and Nugget Point. Any recommendations, good or bad? Any other nice places I should consider?

Chip:
My wife and I have stayed on two occassions at The Rydges Hotel. It overlooks Lake Wakipitu and is within walking distance of the CBD. We paid NZ$100 per night for a room overlooking the lake.
It's a 4 star hotel. I can heartily recommend it. You can find them at www.rydges.com.
Queenstown is lovely.
John

We stayed for 3 nights at Nugget Point in Queenstown for our honeymoon this past September. It was a very nice place, and we had a view of the Shotover River and the mountains which were beautiful. And Queenstown is so wonderful, we loved it!!

Don't mean to confuse you,,but we stayed at a townhouse condo across from the lake called The Lodges. No room service but plenty of space in 3 bedroom apartment..and cheap.

Fantasic views of the LAke

By all means, if you can splurge a bit, stay at the Milbrook Resort. I stayed there earlier this year and it could not have been more wonderful. There are good rates to be had but not inexpensive...but the quality, service and accomodations are superb!
