Finally have my Oz itinerary finalized

For late October, early November.

4 nights Lord Howe Island. We intend to snorkel a bit, but more check out the flora, and also do the Mount Gower Hike

4 nights Adelaide & 1 night Kangaroo Island. We intend to check out the botanic gardens and go wine tasting in Adelaide, and spend close to 2 full days meandering around Kangaroo Island checking out the wildlife.

3 nights Cape Trib. We intend to do a Daintree cruise, hike through the rainforest, check out the beach, and relax a bit.

3 nights Lizard Island. We intend to snorkel a bunch here, walk up to Cook's look, and be lazy.

4 nights Sydney. Here we expect to walk around the city, check out the zoo, the aquarium, the CBD, the Botanic Gardens, and get some "city life" in (since besides Adelaide, we'll be out of cities)

2 nights Blue Mountains. More hiking, more outdoors stuff.

We'll save Perth, Broome, Ningaloo Reef, Uluru for a different trip.

What do you expect the weather will be like? It was hard to balance between the far north and the (relatively) far south. Our hope is that it will still be dry with calm waters up north, and a little warmed up down in Adelaide and Kangaroo Island.

If you take a look at a website like weatherbase.com you will know as much as anyone living here! Nobody ever knows what the weather will be like EXACTLY in a given year but with luck you've pitched it right.

Your trip sounds amazing.

I am so pleased to find someone visiting Lord Howe Island - we have not long returned and found it to be a wonderful place to visit. I would recommend Marine Adventures Tours - North Bay Turtle & Nature Tour and also their Round the Island Tour. They are a very professional group and we thoroughly enjoyed and learned a lot from both those tours. you will find their office on the lagoon.
