February visit to scuba in Great Barrier Reef?
My husband and I are planning to travel to Sydney, Melbourne and the Great Barrier Reef in February as that is the only time our schedules allow it. Are we crazy? We want to scuba a few days in the GBR but my internet research has freaked me out by the threat of Stingers and cyclones during February. This however is tempered with the fact that it appears that February may not be a bad time to visit Sydney and Melbourne. We are outdoorsy folks and like to walk, hike, swim, paddy owed etc. I would love advice from some locals on this. Thanks☺️

G'day mate! You got some pretty cool places listed on your itinerary but I’m afraid the Great Barrier Reef will have to be ticked off, as the best time visit is between June to November cz from December to March cz its gonna be pouring cats and dogs so visibility for scuba and snorkelling is not going to be so great-actually not great at all! But, Melbourne and Sydney is pretty sweet as. There’s so much to do in these two cities. For example, Sydney’s got Bondi Beach, Featherdale Wildlife Park, Wild Life Sydney, Chinese Garden of Friendship, and so many other cool places where you can walk, hike, swim all you want! And also settling down there is a must as its obvious you can’t do all in one day, so Oaks On Castlereagh will be a good deal for you as its within 10 minutes to 1 hour away to all these places. So hope you have a ripper holiday mate!
