Hello
I am a Canadain student in grade 12. My class is doing a project on tourism. We get to chose where we want to go. I want to go to Australia and New Zealand. I got the idea from a Trafalgar's Tours book. Thier web site is www.trafalgartours.com
If you could please e-mail me any information that would be great help !!
I need hlep on knowing what types of clothing to wear, if i need a state passport, visa, and health documentation. Also the cost of these documents if they are needed. Also what is the night life like there ?? Is there night clubs ??. Also if there is any other infomation you have that you think would be of help please e-mail it to me.

As a Canadian, you will need both a passport and a visa to go to Australia. I am unsure if you would need a visa to go to NZ. However, I think you can get the answers to most of your questions by purchasing a Frommers or Fodors guide. Look in the first section called "Planning Your Trip" and that will answer many of your basic questions.

go to the library and look in the travel books on Australia and New Zealand. Write to the tourism department of the Consualtes or Embassies.

You could also read the Lonely Planet books on Australia and New Zealand or try their website www.lonelyplanet.com.au
Other websites to try are www.global.australia.com
www.aussie.net.au
www.nztb.govt.nz
You would need a passport - I'm not sure about the visa.
Lots of nightlife, particularly for young people. Most young travellers stay at backpacker or youth hostels which provide great social activities.
Good luck with your project. Perhaps it will encourage you to visit our country in the future.

I am also researching travel in Australia. I am in the travel and tourism program at my college in western New York. Fodors is a great place to start. I also reccommend the US state department web site for travel information (of course canadian requirements would be different)and the Center for Disease Control. Lonely Planet is also great. If I get anything else new and interesting I'll leave you a message.
