Crocodile Hunter - Steve Irwin

Hi all,

I am going to Australia in January and am spending 3 nights in Port Douglas and 2 nights in Sydney. Due to time constraints we are unable to stop in Brisbane. I know that is where the Australia Zoo where Crocodole Hunter Steve Irwin is. My cousin's 11 year old daughter just LOVES the Crocodile Hunter show, she wants to be a zoologist now.
She was so excited to hear I was going to Australia and I feel bad I can't stop in Brisbane. I would love to bring her something special back from Australia having to do with the show. Any suggestions of shops or items that cannot be found in US?

Thanks

You could try the Rainforest Habitat in Port Douglas where you can have breakfast with the birds. Seems quite popular. They are bound to have souvenirs relating to Australian wildlife but maybe not the TV show.
Kay
(Did you know that Steve Irwin is MUCH more popular in the US than here in Australia?)

Hi Kay,
I had read about Steve's popularity in the US is much more than in Australia. We are going to the rainforest habitat, but I have to find something for the show. I'm a real soft touch for kids!

Kay,

We just came back from Oz, (I am Johns wife) and just about every airport you pass through will have Steve and Terri paraphenelia in it. All kinds of goodies to bring her back!

Thanks Brenda. That's the easy kind of shopping, right at the airport!
