Clearing Kaikoura to Picton road
Excavators and construction crews have begun clearing the slips along here, with expectations of having the road entirely cleared by the end of the year:

I don't know if you can see this without being on Facebook but it's a post-quake photo of Jimmy Armers Beach.

Kaikoura Minibackpackers is/was an amazing little random homestay that I happened upon many years ago when Mr. Eldon decided to put his sign out.

Great news! It looked so devastated with the slips and the railway lines just about in the ocean it will be a big job. It will probably take all year however.
