Delta's prices have gone up in the last couple of days, for LAX-SYD in late Jan, early Feb.
Still a lot cheaper than Quantas though, and I'm not sure why that is. Same itinerary on Quantas is over 50% higher and it's not only on the A380 flights.

Air New Zealand currently has a sale price of $798 roundtrip from Los Angeles or San Francisco to Sydney plus a free stopover in Auckland, New Zealand. The dates are May 10 - June 8, but the sale expires Dec 3rd. http://tinyurl.com/ycguv4e
