Australian bushfire impact by region

For anyone with travel plans to Australia in the near future, here is useful website that gives current information on the impact the bushfires are having on regions throughout the country:

As horrific as the bush fire season has been so far this year, most of that vast country has not been directly affected.
Wishing you safe and happy travels.

Thanks for posting the link. It will hopefully be useful for visitors to see they can still come and enjoy our beautiful country.

Yes, thanks for posting - the map of impacted areas should be a huge help to those planning trips and it's of great interest to me personally, as the media would like us to believe the entire country is on fire.

It is indeed difficult to put the news reports in perspective. At home in Canada, we are asked almost daily how our Australian family is doing. Just fine, thank you, they are in WA and the only time they have been affected directly was a day of smoke pollution when they travelled to Melbourne for a wedding. It is good to know the world is watching and caring though.
