Hello A/D,

When you think of Macleans in Canada, you may be thinking of the news magazine (a sort of Canadian version of Time.

I was about to say that Macleans toothpaste was manufactured by SmithKline Beecham, but I see their name now is GlaxoSmithKline. There must have been a merger. In any event, their head office is in the United Kingdom.

They manufacture many prescription medications and vaccines as well as consumer healthcare products. Some of their consumer healthcare products that most North Americans would recognise include Aquafresh toothpaste, Contac cold remedy, Nicorette gum, Sensodyne toothpaste, and Tums antacid pills.

For reasons that are unknown to me, they aim their Macleans toothpaste at markets in Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and Australasia, but not the Americas and apparently not Asia beyond the Middle East.

Although Macleans toothpaste does come in different flavours, I like the regular flavour. What I like about it is that it is less sweet than Crest et al.
