A lighthearted look at a some of Perth's peculiarities

Anyone who has ever lived in or visited Perth can probably relate to this, I certainly can!

What a hoot! Those 3 have absolutely nailed it. The only phrase missing is, "Where's the b&^*%$ Doctor?"

Thanks, mel. Loved It! Especially "if it wasn't for us Australia would be stuffed!" This misnomer was a common expression even in the 90's. When visiting from Melbourne (oh the shame!) I heard this so often I'd be saying it in my head even before the sentence was complete!

True story Bokhara. And don't even think about needing a specialist from mid-Dec through end Jan.

My favorite bit was about evaporative air conditioning which 'is great, unless it's hot...or humid'. We grumble about our evap even more than we grumble about how Perthites can't merge. I call it The Illusion of Air Con.
