5 nights in And around Perth?

5 nights in And around Perth?
We will be visiting Perth area for 5 nights, and we’re thinking 2 nights in the City and 3 nights in Margaret River area...is this a good use of our time?we will be renting a car and like the outdoors rather than big cities... thank you for any help/ideas.

Margaret River area is great for outdoors things, there is the cape to cape if you like hiking (t takes 7 days all up but there are lots of day hikes), nice beaches, lovely bush areas. It would depend on what time of year you are thinking of going.
