There are 11 money exchange offices, some of which are open until midnight. Rates, however, are often very poor.
There are also six ATMs from an assortment of banks, giving rather better rates.

Generally speaking, in money exchanges, not at banks. But not at money exchanges in tourist areas and particularly not on main tourism streets. Walking up from the Star Ferry terminal on Kowloon side, for instance, the rates at the first money changers you pass can be as much as 20% different from those in the streets behind the Holiday Inn, a few minutes' walk further on. The rates at the entrance to Chungking Mansions on Nathan Road are worse than those further inside the shopping arcade, and so on.
