Have had to cancel BKK this november as I broke a finger in my left hand last week in Chicago and had to have surgery. May be in BKK around Feb 18 to 26 or next November.

Isis-What about Dec 26? We are at the Westin Grande. Love to catch up. Let me know if date suits.
Lyndie: Mon, Dec. 26 sounds great! There would be two of us, me and DH Russ. About what time that day?
The Gpanda group will be in BKK on 12/26/05. I will check with them to see whether I am free that evening. We're at the ROS.
We're planning for end of Nov. 2006...
In BKK 1/14/06 - 1/19/06. I can hardly wait! |
So it looks like so far Carol and Clifton are both in Bangkok when I'm there. Where are you two staying? I'll be at the Oriental.
Isis, it looks like we'll cross paths briefly in BKK. Maybe we can get together for lunch or something. I note that it will be the end of our trip and the beginning of yours, so we'll have to take your jetlag into account.
Hi Kathie, we can play it by ear.
Re the tailend of your trip, hard to do everything in Bangkok in 3 days!!! |
I'll be in BKK nov 27-29, IF I can get away from the crisis at work. Staying at the Oriental.
Gloria, Clifton
I don't have any reservations at this point, but will probably be in a serviced apartment at the Omni once again (but that's not cut in stone). I'll know more later. I do look forward to meeting in BKK! |
IsisMonroe:
Wow,what a long vacation....can we go with you guys lol? Are you going to visit your old stomping grounds in Vietnam? Hope you and Russ have a great trip! Aloha! |
Isis, yes, let's play it by ear. It would be fun to get together!
Isis,gpanda-early evening drinks somewhere and maybe a casual dinner if time permits. Let's be flexible! I'm going to ask a friend from BKK where he'd go for a drink with mates & perhaps great snacks later. We are not big hotel bar types. Prefer small intimate pool halls with lots of lady boys!
After making some changes on my orignal plans,we will be there from Feb 13-18 and Feb 21-March o2.
Lyndie: We're very flexible. Maybe Guenmai will be in town, if no jury duty.
HawaiianTraveler: Yes, meet us in Vietnam! You and Linda would enjoy the wonderful, delicious food in Hoi An. |
Glorialf - I will be staying at the Sheraton Chiang Mai New Year's Eve and not sure what is happening in the city or hotel for the occassion. Information? Thanks. chrphd.
Most hotels have some sort of mandatory dinner. I arrive in the evening of Jan 1 and while I've spent NY Eve in thailand it's always been in Bangkok.

I stayed at the Sheraton in Chiang Mai on a number of visits. The last time, we asked for upgrades to a suite and WOW was it NICE!! I don't remember how my difference the price was, from a regular room to a suite, but I'm sure it was minimal. You might ask!!! Carol |
