Who's in BKK, and When?
 

I'm just wondering who has plans for BKK and what dates. Who knows... some of us may be there at the same time, and could actually have a GTG there.

I should be there from about Jan 19 to Feb 5. No ticket yet, but I know that I want to be at a friend's wedding on Jan 21 and cannot arrive until after Jan 17th, and must be home by Feb 7!!

So... do these times coordinate w/anyone else's BKK visit?

I'm in Bangkok from Jan. 11-15 and from Jan. 20-26

Hi Carol - we'll just miss you - Jeane and I will be in Bangkok Feb 21-25 and Feb 28 - Mar 4.

Nov. 9 to Nov 13 and Nov 28 to nov 30

I'm there from mid December until the end of the first week in January. I ran this idea by the folks on the board before the Honolulu GTG, but everyone seems to go to Bangkok at different times of the year. Happy Travels!

I haven't been very active on this board, but my husband and I will be in Bangkok February 7 - February 11 and February 15 - February 17. Will be in Chiang Mai February 12 - 15.

Have air tickets but no hotels yet. I need to get busy on reserving rooms. We are leaving tomorrow for a 2-1/2 week car trip in the USA, and I haven't started to pack clothes yet. I have a bag with books and information about Thailand that I'm taking with me to read.

Hi Carol. We're in BKK Dec1-Dec5 and Dec 25-Dec 31. Singapore for New Year.
We're at the Westin Grande (8 nts) and Shangri-La (2 nts). Hope to have a bang up lunch at Lord Jim's Xmas Day, but they don't reply to my emails. I think I'll ring them and book.

Son Brad (in my BOS GTG photos) will maybe be in BKK from about Dec 26 to Feb 4. He is thinking he might meet up with gpanda. They discussed it in BOS. Lyndie, maybe you could join them! That would be great! Wish I could go then, but there is not enough time for me just then. I have to wait until after the 16th of January.

I just got a summons for jury duty today and am not a happy camper since it's to start 2 weeks before the BK trip. I have to wait until the court contacts me to see what I can do about it. I've never served before, so I don't know. They may drag me in. Happy Travels!

Guenmai, I don't know about California, but in NY, you can tell them in advance that you cannot serve at the time you have been summoned to and give alternate dates. I would suspect (hope!) that Ca. has a similar option. Anything less would be inhumane! Is there a number on the letter for you to call with questions/problems?

My husband was summoned once (years ago) and it was timed while he would be in Europe. He called and was able to get out of going. Good luck, hope you can do the same.
