Great report! I'm heading that way in May, and am very excited. So you liked the gelatinous rice dishes in Hue? Sounds icky to me (from a texture standpoint), but I'll try it of course. Glad to hear I might be pleasantly surprised!

We indeed had a great time.

Vietnam is not as varied as China, but it's also not nearly as commercialized as Thailand!

The gelatinous rice dishes were not sticky or icky. They were "delicate".
