Weather in Japan in June

Hello. Im planning to visit Tokyo and Osaka next week. I was reading about weather in June and some people say its raining 7 days a week (storm season). Did anyone visited Japan in this month? Thanks for all answers.

I was in Tokyo last year and the rain season was around 47 days. and whole June.

rain season in Osaka would be shorter but later, maybe from middle of June. I go there at the end of June, so really hope it will be sunny over there.

I just got back. It only rained once, but temps were higher than average for this time of year and it felt really, really hot. I was wearing shorts and tank tops the whole time and was still uncomfortably hot.

jacketwatch,
September is still hot and humid in most of Japan and you are smack dab in the middle of typhoon season. In Sept/Oct you would find me in Hokkaido if anywhere in Japan.

Aloha!

I've been in Japan a couple of times in June. Hot & steamy, sometimes very rainy. We tried to stay in more rural areas at higher elevations. In the cities, it doesn't cool off in the evenings as all the concrete has absorbed heat during the day.

Sept weather is usually better, unless a typhoon blows through while you are there.

But if you plan your itinerary carefully, you can still have a great trip.

Thanks lcuy. It's a cruise out of Yokohama with stops in Otaru, Aomori, Kushiro, Hakodate and Korsikov, Russia.
