Weather in Hong Kong next week? HUMID!?

Off to HK on thursday, I've been watching temps but interested in how hot/sticky/humid/muggy it may be? 25degC in Brisbane at the moment is horrible due to all the rain we've had. But 25degC in Melbourne is clear and lovely. I'm guessing HK will be more like Brisbane?

Any thoughts? It will help with packing
Thanks

Looking at the average relative humidity of Hong Kong and Brisbane, Hong Kong has even higher humidity. According to BBC's website, March in Brisbane, the morning humidity is 72% and afternoon 60%.

On the other hand, Hong Kong in March has relative humidity of 84%/74%. It is definitely not like Melbourne in the summer when it is quite a bit drier, with relative humidity in the 60's/50's%.

It is 28 C and sunny right now, and the humidity is actually low ay 70%, which is very pleasant for March. However, you are coming in a very changeable month, the weather forecast for Thursday is quite a bit cooler (for us) with a high of only 20C /70 F but quite humid. See http://www.hko.gov.hk/contente.htm. But the weather forecasts are pretty unreliable, IMO, so by Thursday all this could change. Based on many years living here, I would pack for warm and humid weather, with some rain and fog. Layers would be the best, as you can add and take off as needed. You will find restaurants, shopping centres and public transport (esp buses and ferries) to be very cold as the air con is blasting even when it is only 20 C outside. So bring a light sweater or shawl for that. That will also help if we really do get some cooler weather (which is usually over by now.)

Fantastic. Pretty much what we thought, but thanks so much for the A/C warning. Some of our evening outfits will need a light shawl or similar, which we may have ommitted. You have been very helpful as always.

I will be sure to check back in when we get home.
