I have a challenge I am hoping someone can help me with. I have to get on a cruise ship in Vietnam that is not the normal embarcation port. It is cheaper to take a taxi but apparently I need a dock security clearance and a permit to get there, any help would be greatly apprecaited.

Your cruise company should be able to supply those for you. Call them.

It sounds to me like they are trying to guarantee that you'll have to use their overpriced transport.

Perhaps a one of our locals can help... what port is your cruise company using?

I guess I missed it. Where did you say they can't help?

Seems quite unlikely if your sailing out of Vung Tau and show up at the dock with your ticket that they won't let you on the boat.
