Finding best 5 star Halong cruise for family with small kid

I'm planning to travel Halong bay with my family and looking for a 5 star cruise for this trip but when searching on net, I felt confused cause there are too many cruises offered and I can't find which one is best. Anyone can give me suggestion? One more thing, I travel with a three-year-old kid so do you know any cruise offering service that takes care of such small kid? Thanks a lot.

Hello, you have put your question as a trip report, do correct that.
We went to Vietnam this June and were very happy with Dragon Legend from Indochina Junks. Our 5 year old daughter loved the boat, the cabin and the whole experience. But there wasnt anyone in the staff who could take care of a baby. Perhaps you can write to them and check about baby-sitting facilities, if any.

Let me suggest that if you take a small child on such a cruise, plan that you will need to be vigilant every moment. Many/most people from SE Asia do not know how to swim. Would you be happy with a baby sitter on a boat who didn't know how to swim? Even if a cruise said it offered baby sitting, I would not trust it.

Thank you Kathie, I was thinking the same thing when I saw the post. And it's not only the swimming, but a three year old can get into all sorts of mischief if someone isn't watching--there is also the kitchen and hot burners. In the US, cruise ships generally have babysitters that are screened and bonded or whatever.
