Tour Guides Bangkok and Chiang Mai?
Hello,
Plans for the trip in April are underway and I was wondering if anyone had any advice on good tour guides for Bangkok/Chiang Mai.
We would only really want someone who could take us around for one day at a time - any suggestions welcome!

The guide being recommended these days in Bangkok is named Ratt. Here are links to two threads that discuss people's recent experiences with her.

I don't think you need someone for Bankok (just a copy of Fodor's tucked under your arm!) but for Chaing Mai check out Sergeant Kai at http://www.chiangmaitours.com/index.html Sergeant Kai is a super nice dude and very knowledgeable and extremely reliable. They have suggested itineraries, of course, but will do whatever you want on a daily basis. PS Pay extra for driver and a guide, its worth it.
