Tokyo Metro Pass
Hi, can anyone tell me if the 2 day Tokyo Metro Pass that you can purchase at Narita Airport is valid for 48 hours from the time of activation or for 2 calendar days. For example if we first use it at 9pm on Saturday Night is it still valid on Monday up until 9pm. Thank you in advance, Lissa

2 consecutive calendar days.
Also, only valid on Tokyo Metro Lines, which are shown on the map on the Tokyo Metro website. Not valid on other lines or JR. http://www.tokyometro.jp/global/en/t...penticket.html

Note the footnote:
There are two subway operators in Tokyo, Tokyo Metro and Toei Subway. "Tokyo Metro Open Ticket" can only be used on Tokyo Metro lines.
JR line network is not as extensive as the subway network in Tokyo. Consequently, you tend to use subways more. However, choose the transportation based on your travel need. Blindly using a single method can produce dysfunctional consequences.

I have a Pasmo card which makes things convenient but only covers as much as you put into it as it is a prepaid card. Very easy to buy and use. If you want a SUICA just look for the green vending machines. Read here for info:

Check out the Tokyo Metro map and where you'll be staying. We used almost exclusively Toei lines when we were in Tokyo because the Oedo line was right near us and is the longest of the train lines. A Tokyo Metro card that doesn't include them may be worthless.
Go with Paul's option.
