Tokyo Massage/Spa recommendations

Tokyo specific question. My wife and I will be staying at Andaz Tokyo for a week before a few days in Kyoto. Given that information, has anyone gone to the Spas at the Andaz, Ritz, Mandarin Oriental, Peninsula, 4 seasons, Park/Grand Hyatt? I want to plan a massage/spa day but would love recommendations on one of these places or others I am missing. Also I realize Japanese are known for the “onsen”, is that something we should wait to check out after Tokyo like in Kyoto area?

Thanks!

I can't help you with your spa day, but here's some information on onsen:

I don't think I've ever had a spa treatment in Japan, as it is not something that Japan is known for. The ones you are considering all look lovely. But looking at the prices of these spas, I think it would be cheaper to fly to Bangkok and have a spa weekend!

Nope. Haven't tried the spa treatments in Japan although I stay at the Four Seasons Hotel in both Tokyo and Kyoto. I totally forgot to make an appointment to have a facial at Four Seasons Tokyo and I usually get a spa credit due to staying there. I usually have facials done, but a partial is usually done, along with the facial when I have it done at hotels in Bangkok though. But, I haven't had a full-body massage with all of the bells and whistles.

Happy Travels!

lcuy: LOL! But, it's probably true. A cheap flight and fly to Bangkok. Smiles.
