I read about this on japan-guide.com. Evidently it's in competition with a new pass costing 3500 yen which gives you a one way ride on the Narita Express plus a Suica card with 1500 yen to use on all transport in Tokyo. Only to be purchased at the airport by foreign tourists.

Mara,

I love competition, always good for the customer.

I also saw the new pasmo card on the japan-guide.com site staring 3/18. I plan to try it and let all know how it works.

Aloha!

ht - plus it is good for ten years....so if you have yen still on it and you plan to return (as we all do) you can just stick it with your leftover yen

ht, ni hao ma?(better practice your chinese). domo(better practice your japanese) for the lead on the special pass. i think its a good deal, since we are using the limo bus, we will get the one day pass for an addtional 100y.

then, since we are in tokyo, i think we can go and purchase the return to nrt on the limo bus, and get another 1 day pass to use in tokyo. sounds like a good deal.

mara, the new suica pass sounds excellent(suika = watermelon in japanese), as i always waste alot of time figuring out how much i need to spend to get to my destination. with the suica, i can proceed to the turnstile and not worry about how much the fare will be. of course, i will have to keep my card topped-off.

i understand the weather in tokyo is warm, so the cherry blossoms might me awaken earlier than usual.
