Thinking about Japan.

This would be my first time visiting Japan

I would fly to Tokyo for a few days before taking a cruise.

From what I have read, it seems that I will not need a visa . I am American and will only stay for a few days. I am a tourist.

Am I correct? Do I not need a visa to enter Japan.?

Correct when visiting as a tourist for 90 days or less

See your other thread for more info

I think the 90-day stamp is your “visa on arrival”.
The stamp uses one-quarter of one of the Visas pages in your passport
