the day we went on the monarah (sp) they just left everything in our room for 24 hours so we did not have to pack up at all...that was very nice...of course we had arranged our boat cruise with the owner's brother so that may have carried some additional weight..

NOW YOU KNOW WHY WE LOVE ASIA!!!!

Bill,
never got such service anywhere in Europe! If only Asia and Europe can change geographic locations, then give me Asia any time.
This jet lag still bother me btw. It is already 8th day at home and I wake up at 4:30am . By 8pm I am finished. Bad.

Bob,
you sure did well with keeping your staff in the room. But we were away for 2 days. Not sure if they re-rented our room or not.
You had good service as well, but not 4 people to serve you on a boat !
Which actually was somewhat overbearing - with them dragging fans around us when we moved. I also did not let them carry umbrella covering me in the sun. Too much. Maybe I should go to Paris. But arrival to JFK cured everything.
Maybe a year from now we will go to Asia. Not enough time. Need at least 2 weeks.

paul i dealt directly with the hotel...i believe on their web-site there is a special spot for curise issues...

billT---you could get that level of service but you would pay big time for it....in asia as you know it is routine at upscale places....
