Thailand in July

How much rain can we expect on a July trip to Thailand? Daily? All day in places? Afernoon showers? We'll be visiting Bangkok, Ko Samet and Chiang Mai. We know it's rainy season, but I'm not exactly sure what that means for the different areas. Thanks in advance.

We were in Bangkok and Chiang Mai in July last year. In Bangkok, you can expect rain at some time almost every day, especially in the late afternoon. In Chiang Mai it only rained once one afternoon of the 3 days we were there.

try http://www.worldclimate.com, you must put in 'surat thani' to find Samui weather as neartes place listed. Yes, it does rain, but don't let it worry you, you will still enjoy.

Thanks again, Sarah - BUT we're not going to Samui. We're going to Samet. I bet Pattaya would work if Samet doesn't on that website.
